Commissioned by Thai Piccoloist Kalaya Phongsathorn, and was premiered at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

Program Note
Isaan music is charming and enchanting. When I’m going to start composing this song, I think of Isaan instruments, Wode and Kan. I enjoy listening to them and trying to use them in my compositions. The melodies and rhythms in this song are already catchy to Thai people. Wode has a high tone close to Piccolo, and the piano part use chords and a style of playing similar to Kan.
The main melody used in this song is “Nok eang yeap kon ki tai,” which is one of the songs used in the Lao Khrang community. The Lao Khrang community is Lao people living in central Thailand. In addition, I have blended it with Lao Joi, which is a Thai folk song.
